Management Accountant

A leading City of London based technology firm are looking to hire a Management Accountant. The job has arisen due to my client's remarkable growth over the last 2 years (including acquiring several new entities). You should be pursuing an accountancy qualification, i.e. ACCA or CIMA. Applicants need to have management accounting experience within a fast paced industry and a strong academic background.

The role will be reporting in to the CFO and the duties include balance sheet reconciliations, preparing the P&L statement, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, producing statutory accounts, accruals and prepayments and reviewing the financial control process. You'll also be involved with maintaining the fixed asset register and reconciling the bank accounts.

Candidates need to be strong enough to challenge senior managers and stakeholders and have the flair and innovation to come up with new ideas. You'll regularly be liaising with sales teams, so strong communication skills and a high level of resilience are absolutely crucial.

There is a significant amount of Excel use in the role, so candidates should be confident building pivot tables and v-look ups from scratch. Exposure to macros would be an excellent bonus.
