Financial Controller

We are working on behalf of a forward thinking business with a great reputation within its market that through internal progression is now looking to secure an experienced Financial Controller to join the senior management team to further drive the business forward.

You will provide a strong and positive contribution to all areas of the business through the delivery of robust financial budgetary controls, management of the finance team, accurate reporting and identification of areas to improve the efficiency of the company's processes and profitability.

Key responsibilities of the Financial Controller job will include:
-To manage the overall production of regular and accurate management reports, financial analyses and information within reporting deadlines.
-Continuously review and develop effective company accounting in line with developments in UK GAAP and IFRS and other procedures and internal controls to respond to changing customer needs and contractual reporting requirements.
-Production of interim and annual statutory information.
-To promote the ethos of a commercial finance department in the company with strong internal controls and operating with company procedures.
-To provide support to the UK bid teams on financing and accounting issues, including analysis of financial models, presentation of investment cases for project investments.
-Monitor and report on cash position including all treasury activities, future cash forecasts and business working capital requirements and maintain all banking relationships.
-Manage the interim, quarterly and year-end audit process in line with the requirements of the business and form a working relationship with the company's internal and external auditors.
-Take overall responsibility of the integrity of the financial information and the accurate recording of it in the accounts of the company.

The ideal Financial Controller will possess the following attributes/skills:
-An experienced Financial Controller with experience within a commercial environment.
-A proven leader that can manage both people and change.
-Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
-Degree educated.
-Strong ERP systems experience and advanced Excel.
