SF group are currently working on behalf of a fantastic business based in the Birmingham area who are keen to bring on board a Head of Internal Audit. This role is a fantastic opportunity to join a very successful organisation who have a brilliant brand in their chosen market. Main duties for this role will include:
- Develop and deliver a risk based Annual Internal Audit Plan
- Identify weaknesses and gaps in the control framework
- Manage the Internal Audit Team in the delivery of the Department's objectives
- Manage support and develop the internal audit team members
- Consistently drive process and controls improvements which could bring about future improved efficiencies and add value the company as a whole
- Consistently keep abreast of relevant Internal Audit best practice and ensure that Internal Audit governance documents are appropriate and relevant
- Plan and maintain a rolling three year strategic plan for the audit department
- Communication to the directors and audit committee of upcoming emerging issues and key risks posed across the business
- Effectively communicate internal audit report results
- Conduct Financial Due Diligence for potential acquisitions.
- Facilitate the smooth integration of acquisitions through coordination of activities between the range of internal departments
The ideal candidate will be Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or CMIIA and have a minimum of 6 years post qualified experience in a risk based internal audit function. You will have a strong understanding of the principles and application of good corporate governance, business and operational risk, control processes and procedures.
