Seymour John are currently working in an exclusive partnership with a market leading organisation to recruit a German speaking accounts assistant on a fixed term contract basis for the next year. The role has arisen due to a period of extended growth, which has resulted in the business requiring additional staff to help supplement this busy period whilst working alongside the European arm of their business.

Reporting directly into the financial controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for the European accounts payable ledger, whilst also taking the lead to ensure accurate allocation of records to projects and contracts. You will be required to accurately produce reports, whilst also posting supplier invoices and employee expenses on to the accounting system. The reconciliation of the accounts payable ledger to the general ledger on a monthly basis is a key requirement, as is the investigation and clearance of any debit balances on supplier accounts in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for ensuring timely processing of all timesheets in to accounting system, ensuring all postings made in line with month end deadlines.

To be considered for this position, it is essential that you speak German, or at least have a firm understanding of the language. You must must be able to interpret and analyse data, highlighting any anomalies or issues. Strong excel skills are advantageous, as is the ability to demonstrate a previous history of improvement within both systems and processes.
