We are currently working with a fast growing and innovative financial services business based in North surrey who are looking for a Head of Accounting to join their growing finance team.
The role reports directly to the CFO of the business and you will be working with the senior internal stakeholders of the business to develop the companies financial accounting, corporate and indirect tax and treasury and review the financial processes, policies and procedures.
You will be working alongside the Heads of FP&A, MI, BI and Treasury to assist in the continued growth of the business and support the CFO and the Board, together with all of the business units.
The Head of Accounting role will take responsibility for all of the group's financial processes, policies and procedures ensuring that they are fit for purpose.
You will be responsible for a small operations team as well as the technical accounts and financial control team
Your key responsibilities for this role will include:
Manage the the month end close process for the group;
Lead and manage the group's year end and audit processes, ensuring that they hit audit deadlines and minimise audit adjustments
To take full responsibility for the statutory accounts, analysis reporting and payments
Manage the group's cash position and ensure that cash forecasting is accurate and timely
To support the Head of FP&A and Group FP&A on all financial and planning matters
Work with the internal stakeholders to ensure financial processes are fit for purpose and consistent.
Oversee the cash management at Group level including target setting working with the Treasury function.
Your key skills requires for this Head of Accounting role will include
Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent)
Proven Background in Technical, Statutory Accounting,
Knowledge of Financial Services, Banking or Lending would be advantageous
Capable of managing teams
Clear Communicator at all levels
