Management Accountant

A new role has materialised within an innovative and growing company who has interests in the Arts & Events space.  Having experienced a highly successful few years the business has recently received further investment allowing them to further expand their offerings.

The company is looking for an individual who is outgoing and ambitious who wants to work within a young and dynamic company. Reporting into the Finance Director this position will take responsibility for the day to day finances of the business and be part of a hard working and fun small finance team.

The position will provide an opportunity for career progression as the company grows. To be a successful candidate you will be a minimum of part qualified and possess an outgoing and engaging personality that will fit in with the business.

The Role:

• Prepare monthly P&L accounts, balance sheets and cash flow statements
• Analyse monthly and year to date variance against budget and previous year figures
• Prepare rolling 6  monthly cash flow, profit and capital expenditure forecasting
• Prepare management reports and ad hoc requirements
• Assist with year end preparation;
• HMRC and Companies House compliance and returns.

The Person:

• Minimum of part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong management accounting experience and technically strong
• Relevant accounting experience gained within a practice, events or media company
• Confident communication skills
• Proactive, positive attitude who takes ownership for their work
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet and exceed multiple deadlines
• A genuine interest in music/events would be a distinct advantage
