Axon Moore are representing a growing shared service centre in Manchester. They are looking for a Payments Controller on a temp to perm basis to join a growing, successful team.
As Payments Controller your role will be to ensure that payments are processed in a timely manner and are made in line with the business policy and requirements.
Duties:
• Initiate and manage the Payment Batch process
• Ensure all Purchase 2 Pay accounting is correctly posted.
• Check for duplicate invoices
• Credit Notes
• Upload the BACS file
• Enter CHAPS requests
• Provide MI information for cash forecasting
• Liaise with Treasury to ensure cash balances in the bank account are available for payment
• Analyse processes and suggest solutions
• Payment reconciliation
• Query resolution
Person Specification:
• Payments experience
• Experience of working in an Accounts Payable department
• Large company / Shared Service Centre experience.
• Oracle or SAP or large ERP system experience
• Strong intermediate / advanced excel skills, basic macros.
• Knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) is advantageous.
