Financial Controller

** FINANCIAL CONTROLLER ** West Wales** £22.50 - £27.50 PER HOUR ** TEMP to PERM **

I am urgently recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a company in West Wales on a temp to perm basis. The role is to take a full handover from the current incumbent and is looking for someone to start within the next week.

MAIN PURPOSE:

To ensure that the accounting records are maintained accurately and in a timely manner, and that all statutory and Group reporting requirements are met. You will play a key strategic role in the growth of the business. You will work closely to support your operational colleagues and will take overall responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of the accounts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Day to day accounting activities,
• Month end reporting for all companies
• Year-end statutory reporting, including year-end audit
• Manufacturing accounting, including annual standard costing
• Cash management and reporting
• Ensure appropriate financial systems and controls are operated
• Corporation tax
• Capital reporting
• Involvement in ad-hoc project work where appropriate
• Take overall control of the finance function of the business.
• Develop and deliver management information to enhance the control and direction of the business.
• Payroll

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• Qualified Accountant
• Experience in a Manufacturing Setting
• Experience of compliance with statutory regulations
• Knowledge of FRS102 an advantage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Able to meet demanding schedules and deadlines
• Result oriented
• Good awareness of internal controls
• Influencing and negotiating skills
• Willingness to challenge existing processes and procedures where appropriate, and identify and implement improvements
