Assistant Management AccountantLocation: Coventry Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 greenwellgleeson is recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant on permanent basis for a business based in Coventry. Job Purpose Maintain effective control over the Company's financial reporting systems and procedures to enable the production of accurate, timely and relevant management information, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements and internal policies. Responsibilities Production of the management accounts for one Business Unit on a monthly basisMaintain responsibility for the completion, content and accuracy of key Balance Sheet reconciliationsManagement of key cost lines in the P&L account for all Business Units served by the SSCDevelop and maintain financial controls within the Kerridge Financial system to ensure disciplines are adhered to and safeguard the assets of the CompanyDevelop and maintain financial controls for all acquired business units not managed on the Kerridge Financial system to ensure disciplines are adhered to and safeguard the assets of the CompanySupport Financial Reporting Manager in improvement of internal controls and processEnsure adherence to reporting requirements and deadlines set by Group on monthly, quarterly and annual basisSupport the Chief Accountant in all matters relating to the preparation, provision and resolution of queries relating to the statutory audit of the company's financial records.Fully participate in interim and final audit processFully participate in the annual budget process supporting the Business Units.Liaise with Business Unit personnel on issues related to the accuracy, content and integrity of trading branch reportingProduction of reports for other Central Service departments as required to enable them to manage their expenditure on a monthly basisAd-hoc reports and analysis as requiredLiaise with internal and external auditors as required Knowledge, Skills & Experience RequiredGood Business acumen and commercial awarenessFlexible, analytical and methodical approach in problem solving, Able to manage ever-changing workloads and priorities - ability for multi-taskingIT / PC literate essential, particularly Microsoft Excel & Office. Qualifications requiredPart Qualified ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or QBE
