Assistant Management Accountant

Our client a manufacturer based in North Leicestershire are looking to add an Assistant Management Accountant, this is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a keen, enthusiastic person to join team our clients small finance team.

The Role
*Production and continual development of weekly profit & loss accounts and management information to tight deadlines
*Variance analysis and support planned improvement
*Maintenance of Items and Bills of Material on MRP System
*Maintenance of standard costing system & bills of materials
*Promotion Evaluation
*Involvement with new product development costings, including review of sales and profit margins after launch
*Key team member responsible for introducing new processes to department and business.
*Support the Management Accountant
*Other adhoc work as required

We're looking for a driven individual with the ability to use their own initiative. Currently studying towards an accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA) or having become qualified.
Have strong IT skills including Microsoft office (particularly Excel) and be highly numerate, literate and accurate. Good written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate confidently at all levels are a must.
Experience of management accounting within a manufacturing environment is preferred as is being interested in production processes.
The candidate must hold a valid driving license
