Our diverse, energetic Catering Finance Team are recruiting for an enthusiastic and dynamic Assistant Accountant and we are keen to hear from productive candidates with a can-do attitude.

Based at our offices on the western fringes of Bury St Edmunds and reporting in to the Management Accountant, this is a hands-on role. The Catering Finance team is diverse and the pace of work within the team is fast. As such, we are looking for individuals with the ability to working independently - managing and prioritising their own work load with confidence and with the ability to step up to support the wider finance team where required.
This role is ideal for someone who has exceptional computer and administrative skills with a “can do” attitude and experience in a fast-paced accounts environment.
Primary duties and responsibilities will include:
- Daily reconciliation of bank balances
- Preparation of month end accounts
- Posting transactions in Sage
- Reconciliation of cashless liability
- Cash flow forecasting
Skills and Experience:
- Strong personal integrity
- Ability to work at pace whilst meeting tight deadlines
- Proactive and customer-focussed
- Part qualified AAT desirable
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience working within an accounts team
- English and Maths GCSE, or equivalent, at grade C or above
The Catering Finance team deliver outstanding support to our business and customers throughout the week, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 09:00-17:30 however, flexibility to meet the needs of our business is vital.
