Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant – Catering Finance

Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum, DOE

Our diverse, energetic and rapidly expanding Catering Finance Team is recruiting for a highly capable Management Accountant and we are keen to hear from pro-active candidates with a can-do attitude and a hunger to succeed.

Based at our offices on the western fringes of in Bury St Edmunds, you will have responsibility for producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts; ensuring balance sheets are reconciled and items closed off; submitting a rolling 3-month cash flow on a weekly basis and producing weekly wage reports.

 

You will work within a sizeable yet welcoming finance team where working at pace is commonplace. This is a varied and challenging role which provides huge scope for progression and exposure across the business. We are looking for customer-focused and pro-active individuals with the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should demonstrate current competence and success in a Management Accountant role.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts within group deadlines with detail to contract / site level
  • Reviewing monthly accounts with operational management
  • Cash management – Managing and reviewing summary and detailed cash flow forecasts on a weekly basis, with a 3-month forecast
  • Preparing cashless and other balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supervising bank reconciliations
  • Other ad-hoc work and projects as directed by the business
  • Managing the assistant accounts team

 

Suitable Candidates

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong personal integrity
  • Ability to work at pace whilst meeting tight deadlines
  • Customer focussed and proactive
  • Experience of working within an accounts team
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Part or fully qualified AAT desirable
  • AAT level 4 qualified or currently studying at this level
  • Sage (200) experience would be advantageous

 

The Catering Finance team delivers outstanding support to our business and customers throughout the week, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 09:00-17:30, however your flexibility to meet the needs of the business is essential and is especially true around month end.
