Senior Credit Risk Analyst
The Company
Alexander Daniels are currently working in partnership with a market leading insurance organisation to recruit a Senior Credit Risk Analyst for their Central London offices.
The Role
The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will play a leading role in the identification, measurement, monitoring, management, controlling and reporting of credit risk across a wide range of areas of a multi-national Insurance Company.
The Senior Credit Risk Analysts responsibilities will include:
- Deliver independent, timely, balanced, accessible information and advice on credit rating issues that can be presented to the combined Audit & Risk Committee of the Board, including content for Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA)
- Monitor and challenge the ongoing appropriateness of manager credit ratings assigned to manager rated investments, including Private Debt
- Contribute to the development of the credit rating framework for Private Debt
- Propose credit ratings for private debt where a manager's credit rating framework has not been approved by CRM
- Propose rating overrides for approval by the Board Investment Committee Provide the company with own credit perspective and assessment of individual investment opportunities, including providing challenge to EIM and as necessary to external managers directly
- Provide recommendations to management on the appropriateness of individual transactions, including where corrective actions may need to be considered during the lifetime of a transaction
What are we looking for from the Senior Credit Risk Analyst
- The successful Credit Risk Analyst will have a solid academic track record with significant experience in the assessment of credit risk within either a commercial/investment bank or re-/insurance company
- You will possess strong fundamental and technical skills to assess credit risk within illiquid asset classes
- Ability to challenge the status quo in an effective and constructive manner
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to work constructively in a team environment
- Experience in looking at private debt transactions, with their complex capital structures
- Knowledge of and rationale behind key loan security terms, covenant setting and scenario testing.
