A market leading and rapidly expanding financial services organisation is currently looking to recruit an experienced and dedicated CASS and Risk Analyst. Working within their impressive offices based in Liverpool City Centre, the successful applicant will act as a senior member of the operational team and will be responsible for ensuring that a robust governance and control framework is in place across the business to ensure client assets are safeguarded.

Reporting to the Operations Control & Oversight Manager, the CASS and Risk Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Managing key CASS risks and controls throughout the business
  • Providing CASS subject matter expertise and training to all areas of the firm
  • Conducting root cause analysis, corrective action analysis and reporting on operational errors, breaches and risk events
  • Acting as a key contact for external CASS audit ensuring appropriate documentation is provided when required, onsite contact for day-to-day queries
  • Assisting the business in ensuring that CASS policies are compliant with regulation and enforced throughout the business
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining effective systems, controls, processes and procedures to ensure service standards are met and maintained
  • Producing management information relating to CASS and key areas of risk
  • Supporting the Operations Control & Oversight Manager with internal quality assurance monitoring and third party service provider and custodian oversight
  • Developing and implementing initiatives to mitigate risk
  • Acting as an escalation point of contact for complex queries and technical questions
  • Keeping up to date on changing financial regulation pertaining to, for example, ISAs, pensions and taxation

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess strong analytical and numerical skills and have previous experience of working within financial services, particularly within an investment operations environment. Comprehensive knowledge of the FCA CASS sourcebook is required as is experience with the administration of SIPPs and ISAs. It is essential that applicants are CISI Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) qualified or equivalent and have knowledge of the CISI "Client Money & Assets" IOC module.
