Chief Financial Officer

Hawkmont Consulting have been asked to source for the skills and experiences of a hugely capable Chief Finance Officer to join the Board of this exciting consulting services business based either in Birmingham or London.

The Role

This Chief Financial Officer post is focused firmly in the strategic and financial leadership of the business as opposed to day to day financial control and will be in the driving seat for future growth with mergers, acquisitions, fund raising, investor relations and to partner firmly with the business operations to drive structured and scalable growth in line with Board goals and company vision.

You will support the business and Board through the next year's financial and operational landscape and be involved in customer and commercial contract review, operational improvements, strategic developments and corporate finance/DD. This position is seen as a true long term Board role and will develop and grow in line with the business and your inputs plus be rewarded with commensurate executive level rewards.

The Person

My client is seeking a very well rounded generalist CFO yet with some specific elements to the required skillset;

• experience of senior finance and operations in a technology led business or consultancy
• must have experience of fund raising/capital structuring and be comfortable driving positive investor relations
• must have prior M&A experience coupled with internal growth/restructuring abilities
• fantastic leadership and management capability
• 2-3 years as CFO of a listed business, having the battle scars and experiences to show
• exposure to a start up environment would be advantageous
• a background in either audit/corporate finance would be seen as a positive foundation
• knowledge of driving best practice in growing business would be advantageous
• a fully qualified finance professional qualification is required (ACA/CA/ACCA/ACMA)

The Reward

This is the chance to be in at near ground level with a genuinely exciting business and Board team. The role can be based either in London or Birmingham, with frequent travel between and across the UK.

Remuneration is c£120-140,000 plus executive level benefits and suitable share options.
