Senior Management Accountant

My client, a very successful Digital Media company with a Global presence is seeking a recently qualified Management Accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) to lead and develop the team, supporting the Financial Controller.

Reporting into the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts, managing and training a 7 strong finance team.

Duties will include:

• Record financial transactions for project, department, or company
• Prepare financial statements for internal and external use
• Reconcile spending with budget as part of job costing
• Analyse financial performance and forecast longer term horizons
• Recommend methods and strategies for cutting cost
• Maintain records and support auditing efforts
• Advise company and/or department management on financial decisions
• Make upper-level strategy recommendations based on financials

Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting terms and concepts,
• Understanding of finance standards, regulations and legislation, (vat etc)
• Strong analytical skills
• Good with People - finance and non- financial people
• Knowledge of project accounting and systems
• Good data handling skills and being able to present data in a succinct meaningful way.

Position would suit a recently qualified but experienced accountant, or somebody at Finalist level with some hands on experience.
