Financial Analyst

A market-leading Warrington based logistics and distribution organisation is looking to recruit a Financial Analyst to join its team. The ideal candidate is an ACCA / CIMA Part Qualified studier with experience in the logistics / distribution / transport sectors who thrives in a challenging commercial role providing further analysis to the management accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious candidate to join a successful organisation currently experiencing a significant period of growth.

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for:

• Production of monthly management accounts including P&L and balance sheet recs
• Production of monthly management reports including variance analysis and commentary
• Financial analysis to understand variances and work with the various operational managers to identify risks and opportunities to improve financial results
• Posting of journals including accruals, prepayments and deferred income
• Assisting with budget process and forecasting
• Ensuring accurate & informative reports are provided to budget holders
• Production of monthly Payroll reconciliations
• Any ad hoc projects as and when required

Ideally you will have/be:

• ACCA / CIMA Part-Qualified Accountant
• Intermediate Excel skills (Vlookups, Pivots)
• Experience using relevant financial operating systems
• Excellent communications skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
