Group Internal Auditor – Leeds

Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Group Internal Auditor to join a large Plc organisation based in Leeds. The company work with an impressive list of clients including some of Europe's most recognised and successful brands - with sustained growth requiring expansion in the Group Finance Team.

Role:

In a newly created role, which will provide significant UK and International business exposure, the Group Internal Auditor will work closely with Senior Management across the multi-site organisation, to ensure that the organisation fulfils its legal, regulatory and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Work with the Group Internal Audit Manager to maintain, develop and execute a Group-wide Internal Audit Plan
• Analysis of the efficiency and effectiveness of systems and activities, including an appropriate Audit Management System
• Identification of areas of non-compliance to Group process and procedure
• Identify areas of key risks including fraud and bribery
• Work with management to develop audit plans, policies and standards
• Facilitate audit activities involving business units and provide consulting services on a broad range of compliance and operational issues
• Keep abreast of relevant Internal Audit best practice and new developments affecting the Group
• Perform special reviews, investigations and projects
• Prepare comprehensive written audit reports

Person:

The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant or Auditor, who has:

• Strong internal/external audit background, gained either in Practice, Industry or a combination of the two
• Ability to work successfully in a complex, multi-site PLC organisation
• Qualified/Newly Qualified Accountant
