Accountants Assistant - Royston£24,000 - £28,000 per annum
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Accountants Assistant to join this market leading organisation initially on a 9-12 Months Fixed Term Contract basis with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of general ledger journal entries to record accounting transactions including prepayments and accruals, recharges, monthly revaluations
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Preparation of monthly finance packs, account analysis and reconciliations
- Helping to prepare the Statutory Accounts
- Ad hoc duties as required
- Accurate maintenance of fixed asset register
The successful candidate will have experience doing a similar role and advanced Excel skills. You will have strong communication skills and high attention to detail. You will be able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Experience of working in an analytical environment dealing with large data sets and providing solutions to minimise manual processing is essential.
