Hudson Executive are delighted to be supporting our client, a well-capitalised equity investment vehicle, focused on Private Equity transactions in the UK. With a significant number of existing investments that have performed well and above expectations they are keen to deploy additional capital in to similar sized investments in a variety of business sectors in the UK.
Scope and Responsibilities
The Partner will participate in finding investments, all transaction functions of an investment, and portfolio management activities of any investments. Function as an integral part of a close-knit group of investment professionals, take the lead in financial modelling and industry research, play a key role in the underlying analysis of investment decisions, and assist senior professionals in structuring and negotiating prospective investments in target companies.
Responsibilities will include (but not be limited too):
- Identification and analysis of investment opportunities including financial modelling, valuation and return analysis
- Market and industry research
- Due diligence on companies, management, customers, competitors and industries
- Preparation of term sheets and letters of intent and review of transaction documentation
- Legal contact and document preparation
- Fund raising where necessary
- Monitoring of select portfolio companies and quarterly portfolio valuation analysis
- General office management including company positioning in the market, profile and networking with family offices, accountant & legal firms for lead generation
- IT policy and management (via intergroup companies) and staff management/recruitment where necessary
Requirements
- Candidates will probably come from the private equity or corporate finance environment, & probably played a pre-partner role
- Either an ACA or CFA qualification or similar
- 3 years' + experience as an analyst with a top-tier investment bank and/or private equity house
- Outstanding financial modelling and analytical skills
- Demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, business valuation, accounting and finance
- Demonstrated ability and interest in working with a small group of investment professionals
- The ability to travel and visit investment locations
- Board level potential in order to participate and manage specific investments
