My client is looking for a Finance Controller to take lead of the finance function as well as other operational areas. This is a multi-faceted role, with scope for development to Finance Director depending on job performance

Description

Are you a commercially minded person with a passion for people? Can you manage relationships with various stakeholders at all levels of an organisation? Are you looking for a challenging, stable role with scope for development? This is a broad responsibility role in a small office, overseeing financial functions for 55 staff with the support of an assistant accountant. This Finance Controller position will partner with fee earners and the management board. The successful applicant will be supported in key functions for the first 3 months in the role.

You will be tasked with:

  • Complete organisational Financial management including monthly management accounts, insurance, forecast and pensions

  • Statutory accounting and liaison with the auditors

  • Management of the lender relationships and shareholder reports

  • Shareholder management

This Finance Controller position is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Accountant with a strong track record. To maximise success, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • A strong professional background including a finance qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

  • Clear and diplomatic communication style and the ability to present information coherently to management

  • An understanding of forecasting and budgeting

  • Ability to engage with Partners, as well as be approachable to staff

  • Strong ability to prioritise and multitask

  • A compassionate and sensitive approach to your responsibilities, with a high level of integrity
