Hays Accountancy & Finance are being exclusively retained by a well-established and growing FMCG business looking for an experienced and hands-on Management Accountant to join their small and fast-paced accounting team. Based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire on a permanent basis you will reporting directly into the Senior Finance Manager and support the other members within the finance function in hands-on and varied finance role.

Your new role

This busy and varied Management Accountant role will involve the preparation of monthly management accounts including commentary, prepayments, accruals and bank reconciliations. You will maintain fixed asset register, business information & management reporting, weekly cash flow forecasting, assist with production of annual budgets and rebates. You will support others within the finance function when needed, prepare payroll and be involved in ad-hoc financial projects/duties for Senior Management and the wider organisation.
What you'll need to succeed

For this hands-on Management Accountant role it is essential that you have experience within a similar position, with an organised approach, being able to work towards time-constraint deadlines. Ideally you will be part-qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or AAT Qualified, candidates who are qualified by experience will also be considered. You must have strong communication skills to build relationships around the business and with external customers, along with a good knowledge of ERP systems and strong MS Excel skills (pivots/lookups). It would be advantageous if you have experience within the FMCG sector, SAP systems knowledge and have used SQL in Ms Excel.
