Commercial Analyst

An international and respected brand within the Services sector are seeking for a Commercial Analyst for their Leeds office for a 9 month interim role.

The Commercial Analyst reports directly to the Head of Finance and my client is able to offer a varied role with broad scope and interaction with many key stakeholders across the business. This position is a 9 month interim contract paying a competitive day rate of £250 - £275 per day.

Responsibilities:

• Provide financial support for key business areas. This includes ongoing management reporting as well as involvement in any current projects / detailed expense analyses.
• Assisting with preparation and review of weekly and monthly reporting packs covering P&L, revenue and expense analysis and other relevant financial information e.g. cost allocation details/balance sheet information
• Review and ownership of country and industry reporting for business line
• Detailed expense variance analysis
• Preparation and input of financial forecast and budget for revenues and expenses, at both management and legal entity level. Including supporting analysis of results and commentary
• Review and interpretation of costs received from internal support groups and sourcing explanations from regional business finance where necessary
• Dealing with any ad hoc queries from finance or the business
• Continuous review of reporting and process with drive to ensure reporting is both relevant and produced efficiently

Essential Skills:

• High degree of numerical, verbal and analytical ability
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified)
• Management reporting experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build partnerships with key internal clients
• Team player who is able to produce high quality, accurate output under tight timescales
• Strong accounting and analytical skills
• Previous experience of using Cognos is desirable
