Led by a highly experienced management team, and following a review of the finance function as the incumbent has chosen to move within the group, additional capabilities have been identified as necessary to successfully pursue their ambitious plans.

Reporting to the Managing Director and Board your responsibilities include:

To prepare and present for the approval of the Board of Directors an annual budget, other budgets, financial plans, business plans, feasibility studies, investment memoranda, management accounts and statutory accounts and all other financial and business documents and advice as may be required from time to time by the MD and Management team.

To architect, implement and maintain effective financial control systems and performance monitoring, analysis and improvement processes which distil insight and drive action to improve financial performance as measured by sales, margin, profit, profitability, cash-flow and return-on-investment.

To lead the finance and "back-office" administration(team of 3) functions of the business and cost effectively build the capabilities of these teams through systems and processes, training, development and recruitment in-step with business affordability

To lead the IT function (dedicated team of 1) and own the creation and delivery of an effective IT and Management Information systems strategy.

The Individual we seek is someone who "knows what good looks like" by virtue of experience of operating in a well-run big business where systems and processes are well developed but already has the experience of successful implementation in a less well-developed environment.

- Intellectually robust and commercially focused with sound judgement and strong inter-personal skills.

- Qualified accountant with a number of years PQE gained in a food manufacturing branded and own label.

- Working capital & cash management

- Previous experience of developing accounting processes and implementing business systems.
