The Head of Finance Business Partnering is an active member of the senior management team of the
Faculty or Division. They work alongside the Deans, Faculty Managers, School Managers, Divisional Heads and other colleagues to deliver their goals from a financial perspective.
You are responsible for leading a Finance Business Partnering team in a major area of the University’s activities and are accountable for ensuring the team provide good quality information and support to improve decision making, enabling strategic initiatives and improving financial performance. The Head of Finance Business Partnering is responsible for all the outputs of the team they lead.
You will also be responsible for the Faculty and Schools or Divisions delivery of their annual budgets and strengthening their financial profiles. This will include challenging Faculty, schools and divisions to generate increased income or savings in-year as necessary to help achieve their annual contribution targets whilst working with them to develop potential growth areas in line with the University strategy for growth and internationalisation.
With a strong commercial acumen and a focus on customer service you will have significant experience in a similar role providing financial advisory and management reporting services. The ability to influence effectively is vital as is the proven experience of successfully managing and leading teams.
