Commercial Accountant

Interim Project Manager / Senior Commercial Accountant : £400-600 / day : Basingstoke (Near)

This is likely to be circa 6 week strategic project. You will be responsible for analysing and proposing the investment attitude and spend for a major UK brand, by understanding and modelling the cost base for 2 key differentiated products in this growing division.

You will have both a hands-on analytical background, but also senior strategic operational experience. You will develop the forward utilised cost model for the P&L of both products as well as advising on future investment strategy based on contribution to overall divisional profit.

​You will be a qualified accountant, with a strong financial planning and management reporting background in a commercial business. You will have experience of cost modelling and P&L management including pricing and costing.

Essentially the divisional reporting pack requires another layer of reporting and analysis, splitting-out and allocating the operating and overhead costs between 2 discrete products across the customer base. Once this has been achieved you will build individual cost models for both products and work with the Finance Director to understand the divisional performance of each and their direct contribution to performance and profit.
