Finance Director
West Sussex
£80,000 Plus Equity Options
On the verge of being backed by Private Equity, this SME is a market specialist, serving a niche customer base. Having grown profitably whilst in private ownership, the founders have recognised the tremendous growth opportunities available to them with the support of Private Equity. Growth will come organically and via a number of strategic acquisitions.
This role will suit someone with a successful track record as the FD of a SME or a 'first time' FD, stepping up from a Senior Controller level position (hence the salary range on offer).
This is currently a sub £15m company so the FD will need to be 'hands on'. The key deliverables in the early stages of the role will be to implement a finance system and reporting process, that Private Equity and the CEO will view as best in class. Management Accounts, Budgets and Cash forecasting will need to be timely, accurate and reliable. If the company is to achieve its growth plans, there will need to be a robust platform in place to support the integration of acquired companies.
Applicants must be qualified accountants with demonstrable experience of setting up and/or implementing processes and controls in a growth SME. Once this is in place, the FD will be heavily involved in delivering the growth strategy, working closely with the CEO and investors.
Interested applicants should apply with a full CV. Please include current salary and notice period.
