I am recruiting for a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant for a Financial Accounting Analyst role with one of the area's top employers. THE ROLE

-Reporting into the Financial Accounting Lead, the role will take the main responsibility for the accounting of the pension scheme, preparing and producing the pension plan accounts as well as undertake other financial accounting duties as part of a close team and liaising with business partners internationally
-The pension accounting is for the UK defined benefit and defined contribution scheme and also the Ireland pension scheme under US GAAP which will include responsibilities for the year end accounting and budget submissions
-Producing the Trustee Pension Plan accounts, IFRS pension accounting and disclosure preparation, payroll accounting support and management of bonus accruals
-Accounting for expat taxes and be able to assist with the wider financial accounting team responsibilities when required


THE CANDIDATE

-You will be a fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant, although those who are at finalist or passed finalist level will also be considered with the relevant skills
-Although previous pension accounting experience is preferable it may not be essential, however a good knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP is important
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal are required, as is a high standard of systems literacy particularly with Excel
-You must be able to work with attention to detail in order to drive forward efficiencies and be comfortable working in a strict controls environment.
-A flexible attitude combined with a willingness to challenge and influence effectively is important, therefore the successful candidate will be a self confident team player able to manage own workload and to deadline
