My Client is one of the largest Alternative investment managers in the world. They are currently looking for a Financial Accountant / Finance Manager with investment, real estate OR Private equity experience to join a growing team based in London.
This role will report into the financial controller and allow the individual the ability to have direct exposure to senior stake holders and management experience. The ideal candidate would be a qualified accountant or equivalent with exposure to both investments, real estate OR Private equity experience.
The ideal candidate will have an experience
Real -Estate, Asset Management, Private Equity
*Experience of statutory financial statement preparation.
*A strong academic background and good career progression to date.
*A control mentality coupled with excellent accounting, analytical and reporting skills.
*Experience of accounting issues for group structures i.e. acquisition accounting, goodwill and minority interest would be an advantage
*Possess a pro-active attitude with an ability to take responsibility, make decisions and gain respect quickly.
*Process analysis skills to identify vulnerabilities and control weaknesses.
*Understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS as well as the principles of UK regulatory reporting, experience of US GAAP also advantageous.
*Ability to evaluate issues and situations and make decisions with little need for upward reference.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with professionals throughout the organisation.
*Maturity and credibility to deal with FC/FD'S, senior management and colleagues at all levels.
*Previous finance experience in private equity or Infrastructure industry desirable
*Previous experience of regulatory and statutory reporting for various entity types (Corporate, LLPs, LPs, overseas entities)
*Previous experience of consolidation
*Experience of budgeting and forecasting within a similar environment
*Experience of dealing with multiple deadlines, and prioritising tasks
*Experience of team management / support of more junior team members


Real -Estate, Asset Management, Private Equity
*Review and sign-off on payments and journals prepared by the accounts assistant, monthly checklists
*Delivery of monthly, quarterly management accounts
*Delivery of budgets and forecasts
*Delivery of audit information and signing as per agreed audit deadlines, including group consolidation;
*Ensure tax information is received and processed to meet entity requirements;
*Delivery of regulatory reporting requirements timely and accurately;
*Keeping up to date with financial system product developments and develop future initiatives to ensure system meets business requirements;
*Ensure stakeholder queries are addressed on a timely basis;
*Liaise with fund accounting team to ensure smooth provision of data between fund and corporate entities;
*Review of carried interest models and computations.
