About the Role 

Working within a small UK Accounts Team, you will be involved in in all aspects of the accounting cycle including budgeting, closing the month end, audit assistance, variance analysis and preparation of commentary.
 

This role has become available following Hotcourses acquisition by IDP Education, a publicly listed company on the Australian Stock Exchange.  You will be joining a profitable, successful company and be part of a Global Finance Team.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with developing and maintaining the departmental budgets
• Producing and understanding the monthly forecast, with the support of departmental managers
• Preparing financial analysis and reports for departmental managers and the Global Finance Team
• Producing monthly management accounts and relevant variance analysis with commentary
• Monthly reporting including P&L, balance sheets and consolidation
• Reconciling transactions by comparing and correcting data
• Variance analysis on cost centre expenditure
• Day to day finance accounting support
• Payroll preparation and reconciliation
• Preparation of accruals, prepayments, monthly recharges and GL journals
• Audit support

About You

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

• Be a recently Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience (ACA / CIMA / ACCA)
• Ideally you will have accountancy practice experience
• Oracle (EBS) knowledge is preferred but not essential
• Strong Excel skills, experience using V-lookups and macros would be advantageous.
