Group Accountant

London

Salary: Circa £50,000 - £60,000 dependent on years PQE 

The Group Accountant will be joining the business/finance team at a pivotal time of change requiring a best in class finance function to support the ambitions of the business.

You will be responsible for preparing the consolidated financial statements, regular reporting to the Board and being the lead on key accounting projects.

Detailed Job Description

You'll be responsible for (albeit not limited) to the following:

  • Preparation of Interim and Full Year external reporting requirements
  • Consolidation of Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow on a monthly basis
  • Preparation of monthly performance reporting to the Board
  • Group Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting
  • Preparation of Board and Audit Committee papers on behalf of Finance
  • Support the financial reporting integration of acquisitions
  • Accounting for employee benefits, e.g. share based payments, pensions
  • Preparation of IFRS and FRS 101 consolidated and individual company financial statements
  • Prepare and present technical accounting updates to the wider Finance group.
  • Ownership of the financial accounting and reporting of the Group's holding companies
  • Take the lead on key accounting projects
  • Day to day liaison with external auditors

As you grow in your role over time there will be opportunity to get involved in the wider finance function e.g. FP&A supporting your development and career aspirations.

Candidate's Profile

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

  • ACA Qualified Accountant (0-3 years PQE)
  • Ideally Top 10 trained
  • Strong personal organisational skills and ability/adaptability to work to tight deadlines
  • Detailed knowledge of financial reporting under IFRS and UK GAAP (FRS 101)
  • Knowledge of Hyperion consolidation system (HFM) preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Passion to learn and develop new skills
