Description
The Finance Director will report directly into the CEO and be an integral part of the senior leadership team. The role will be key in supporting the board and the financial committee.
The role will involve:
- Leading on the operational and strategic goals of the organisation.
- Attending board meetings and ensure the charity are compliant with all statutory regulations.
- To manage and develop the finance team.
Key accountabilities will include:
- To have an in depth knowledge of the charity sector ideally in a health or social care context
- To support the senior management team and Board of Trustees in long-term business planning.
- To develop a five year rolling budget to ensure future sustainability
- To provide substantial financial management and leadership experience
- Ensuring that the charity acts in accordance with FCA regulation in its relationship with insurers and brokers.
- Forecast projected outturn for both restricted and unrestricted funds
- To work with the auditors to prepare parent company and consolidated versions of the annual accounts to ensure the timely submission to the relevant statutory bodies and grant funders.
Profile
The successful candidate will have worked at the senior level in the charity sector and successfully developed and driven a finance team forward.
Job Offer
£50,000-£55,000 + generous package
