What you will be doing…
Working as a key part of our large Finance team here at Debenhams, the FP&A Finance Manager is responsible for managing the FP&A team on a day to day basis with significant interaction with the group CFO and the executive team. This is a great opportunity to be part of our Debenhams Resdesigned strategy are you will oversee the production of analysis for the Board and Executive Committee in order to drive challenge, change and support their future decision making process.

Key responsibilities are to:

• Drive the provision of first class management information for use across the business, but primarily for the Group CFO and Executive Committee.
• Manage a team of three to analyse business performance, including key performance indicators, and support in driving the groups profitability.
• Oversee and manage the continued development of annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and strategic planning cycles.
• Prepare presentations in support of board, analyst and other senior leadership meetings.
• Develop strong relationships with finance business partners, providing a key line of challenge to deliver budgets and forecasts.
• Deliver robust, structured reporting and processes that are well understood and well communicated throughout the company.
• Seek opportunities to drive positive change in Finance and business processes to improve efficiency, maximise value for money and improve stakeholder experience.

What you will bring…
We look for people with a solid understanding of business environments and a sound level of commercial awareness.  The successful candidate will need to be a qualified Finance professional (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong FP&A background.  Retail experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

You'll be ambitious and hardworking with the ability to communicate effectively as you'll be dealing with a variety of people at different seniority levels across the business. You also need to have a questioning approach and the confidence to challenge established ways of working. Highly numerate and analytical, you have had experience with financial modelling.  IT skills should include strong fluency in Excel and capability of working with IT systems, Access and PowerPoint.
