IFRS 9 consultant

A leading City based Bank are currently undergoing change in the finance function. This has opened up a 6 month contract for an IFRS 9 specialist to come on board within the business. This is very much a hands on technical accounting role that will have you as the go to person for the bank from an IFRS 9 perspective. Some of your responsibilities will include

Managing the implementation of IFRS 9 from a technical accounting perspective

Day to day assessment and writing of technical accounting papers

Review and feedback key modelling papers from a technical accounting perspective

Support the implementation by liaising with various stakeholders across the business

IFRS 9 impairments liaison

IFRS 9 Impairment Disclosures - design and writing

Training, preparing and presenting on all matters relating to IFRS 9

Managing progress with both divisional and steering committee meetings

This is very much a hands on role and will need to be a qualified accountant with prior experience of IFRS 9 from either a bank or from a consulting capacity.
