Financial Reporting Accountant
We are currently looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to work for a top financial services business in the North West. This is an initial 6 month contract working on BAU activities as well as the opportunity to get involved in regulatory project work (IFRS 9).
Financial Reporting Accountant Responsibilities;
- keep BAU activities running smoothly under the guidance of the Divisional Financial Controllers.
- Preparing and reviewing journals for system accounting, cash movements, financial adjustments and overheads.
- Review of Balance Sheet reconciliations to provide robust controls and to add value to the business.
- Assisting the Financial Controller with month end review and preparing adjustments
Financial Reporting Accountant experience/skill set:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Background in Financial Services in required
- Proven experience of IFRS knowledge
- Strong interpersonal skills as the role will deal with a number of different stakeholders at senior level.
- Advanced excel skills
- Good working knowledge of standard accounting systems.
- Any experience of IFRS 9 technical accounting would be advantageous but not essential
