TAKING THE BUSINESS TO THE NEXT LEVEL
….. GROUP FINANCE DIRECTOR
Focusing Financial Performance….helping the business to grow
The Client: Nonwovenn Limited is a genuine UK market leader, who is seeking to re-balance their Board with the appointment of an enterprising Group Finance Director who will be instrumental in enabling the organisation to achieve its strategic goals. They are profitable, liquid and well capitalised (via a recent Private Equity investment) with sophisticated manufacturing facilities, an outstanding range of services, a “blue-chip” customer-base, as well as a well-trained/qualified, dedicated management team/workforce.
Since inception, their continued success has arisen from the creation of a strong brand, technical excellence, a significant investment in company infrastructure and an efficient distribution system supported by an excellent supplier chain. This has allowed the company to meet its customers’ objectives by supplying a range of products fit for purpose, at a demonstrable quality standard and delivered on the due date.
The Role: You will focus on generating commercial advantage from both the development and proactive use of business systems, performance monitoring and financial engineering. Stewardship of the accounting function, as well as strong IT skills, are taken as read but added value is actively sought in the wider commercial debate on mix, margin and yield. In conjunction with the Board and the Senior Management Team, you will determine strategies for driving growth and increasing profitability by identifying key operational issues and by bringing organisational structure and team building skills to the business.
The Candidate: Technical capability is a given and commercial acumen is essential. Quality is the essential criteria – You are a graduate qualified accountant, with a proven manufacturing / supply chain sector background in addition to international exposure and experience of M&A. You are proactive and incisive, highly professional with strong gravitas and presence, well versed in managing complex and demanding stakeholders. Key is the ability to flourish in a tight knit, entrepreneurial management team who are not afraid of getting their hands dirty at the coal face. This is a unique opportunity to financially lead the sector market-leader which is growing both organically and by acquisition, fuelled by collective enterprise and clear leadership. A genuine success story, it has to be one of the best roles of its type in the UK but, based in the West Country, it therefore strikes an outstanding work/life balance.
