Partner Financial are supporting the Chief Financial Officer of a small but rapidly growing Media/Marketing agency to help them identify the right individual for a newly created Divisional Finance Director position. The organisation has an expanding global presence, with offices currently in the UK, America and in Asia, which is likely to continue to grow in line with their 3-5 year strategy. As a result of this growth the Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director for the EMEA region are looking for an individual to join them in the position of Divisional Finance Director to have a particular focus on the running of the EMEA business.
The position is responsible for leading a small team and will provide someone with a great opportunity to take full ownership for the financial running of the EMEA business and will act as a key member of the EMEA leadership team, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and the Managing Director for EMEA.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide inspiring, motivating and effective leadership to team members
- Provide full management information to the Directors and Board; including a monthly profit and loss account.
- Develop reporting procedures and formats to improve the quality of information for decision making.
- Develop pricing and other commercial aspects of clients pitches/agreements/contracts
- Present and influence on client and project profitability
- Drive short, medium and long term financial and business planning for EMEA
- Assume full responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of all financial records, systems and controls documentation. Follow and create best practices.
- Drive the continued improvement and innovation across financial processes and infrastructure to ensure the agency is able to operate effectively and efficiently during a period of rapid growth
- Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
- Own the cashflow management process
- Review, monitor and challenge budgets
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial statements and VAT returns
- Liaise with the Auditors, Accountants and other outside agencies in respect of Financial Accounts and other compliance matters.
The ideal profile for this opportunity will be qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA with strong leadership experience and commercial acumen. Previous experience in a Marketing, Advertising or an Events agency would be beneficial but is not essential. The successful candidate will have strong communicational and influencing skills, and be excited about working within a SME environment where they can make a real impact to the business direction and performance.
