NHS Stockport CCG is seeking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking individual to join our Senior Finance Team. This is a rare opportunity to help define the future of health care in the Stockport region.
The successful candidate will join an established team, and will lead the planning and production of the Annual Accounts, providing expert advice on financial accounting issues, as well as leading on the production of the CCG’s financial plans.
NHS Stockport CCG are a key partner in the “Stockport Together” Transformation Programme which received Vanguard status and funding to progress the development of a Multispecialty Community Provider (MCP) care model. This is designed to provide more integrated services outside of hospitals, a key part in the delivery of the vision for the future of the NHS.
The appointed candidate will be:
- A qualified accountant with an excellent eye for detail, who has a proven track record of success.
- A commercial thinker who is able to work collaboratively
- Proven leadership skills, working with a range of stakeholders in a change orientated environment.
- Motivational, team player keen to develop staff and the team to deliver excellent internal and external outputs.
- An individual with an innovative outlook, who has a flair for influencing and negotiating in high pressure situations whilst building strong and lasting relationships.
Although NHS experience is desirable it is not essential and this role would suit an individual with either a traditional Financial Accounting background or a Planning background as development in the role will be supported.
To be successful in this pivotal role, you must have a true passion for improving the standards of health care and a desire to develop a culture of inclusive and informed decision making across all functions. This role will offer the opportunity to develop a breadth of skills that will be very desirable in the NHS.
