Company Accountant

Exciting new Company Accountant position for a diverse SME based in Smethwick. QBE or Qualified considered.

Your new company
We are recruiting for an interesting SME business working in the pharma sector who are looking for a new Company Accountant. The company has been established since the 1980's and is family run with a T/O in excess of £35 million.

Your new role
As Company Accountant you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Financial Control of the company. You will report into the Directors of the company. This is a sole charge position so a hands on approach is essential for this position. You will be involved in overseeing the purchase and sales ledger, preparation of the Financial Accounts and statutory reporting. You will also be responsible for the VAT returns and a knowledge of import and export would be beneficial.
The company use Navision so a knowledge of this is beneficial although not essential.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a hands on Accountant with a proven track record working within SME organisations. Consideration will be given to both Qualified or Qualified by Experienced candidates. You will be happy to work in a sole charge capacity and ideally be on a maximum of one months notice. Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills are a pre-requisite.
