Finance Business Partner

Seymour John are recruiting for a leading financial services group, based in Cardiff.

The Role:

• Provide regular financial result summaries and recommendations to drive sound decision-making.
• Evaluate business cases for investment decisions and track performance.
• Lead business planning and forecasting processes for IT.
• Maintain IT capital in progress schedule to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Monitor project status to ensure timely close out / capitalisation of project.
• Work with senior IT and Finance leadership to provide on-going financial analysis support.
• Proactively work with internal and external partners, as well as business leaders, to aid in the understanding of financial results and measurement systems.
• Work with IT project managers to provide analytical interpretation of results.
• Communicate as a subject matter expert for IT Project Managers on all topics related to Project Accounting, forecasting and spend management.
• Provide leadership and direction to finance analyst and accounts payable clerks.

Skills & Experience:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Experience of assisting in the valuation of or reporting against complex projects.
• Experience of leading business planning and forecasting routines.
• ‘Can do’ attitude and ability to take the initiative to ensure the delivery of high quality work in short time frames.
• Ability to engage confidently and effectively at all levels of the organisation to support multiple stakeholders.
