An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accounts Manager to join a leading FMCG company in Reading.

 

This role would be ideal for an individual looking to take their first step out of practice in to industry and offers the chance to gain high levels of responsibility leading reporting processes for UK entities. The individual will also be responsible for the management of an outsourcing team as well as the preparation of corporate tax returns. This is a fantastic brand in the Reading area, and provides a platform for an ambitious individual to progress their career as a result.

 

To successfully deliver in this high-profile position, you will need to have:

 

  • Fully qualified accountant with post qualification experience.
  • Solid understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS and UK statutory reporting requirements.
  • Strong IFRS experience and knowledge of UK statutory reporting requirements with significant experience in prior role.
  • Experience of corporate tax returns preferable.
  • US GAAP knowledge an advantage.
  • Strong communicator, capable of influencing external advisors.
  • Self-starter with a resilient and proactive approach.

A little more information about the role:

 

  • Manage the completion of UK GAAP (FRS 101 / IFRS) statutory accounts for all UK legal entities.
  • Manage the completion of UK corporation tax computations and returns.
  • Key finance team contact for UK legal entity accounting.
  • Manage the Fixed Asset accounting process and related activities and ensuring compliance universally.
  • Provide ad hoc project support to the UK reporting team for areas such as cash mobilisation and restructuring
  • Manage and train a team of 5 offshore team members in delivery of statutory, tax and fixed asset deliverables.
  • Design and maintain monitoring procedures for statutory and corporation tax processes.
  • Responsible for delivery of continuous improvement across statutory, tax and fixed asset processes.
