CFO

Our client is a fast growing, award winning and privately-owned business operating in the property & construction sector. The business is now looking to recruit a board CFO who will act as the key support to the CEO and will share responsibility for the effective execution of the strategic plan. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercial CFO looking to work in a broad role partnering a highly driven and entrepreneurial CEO. Main duties;

• Inform and influence decision-making as part of the Board, challenging when necessary and helping both develop and implement robust forward strategies for the company.
• Provide the CEO and management team with the required detailed insight and analysis.
• Develop and provide regular and insightful management accounts, forecasts, analysis and commentary to the Board.    
• Ensure there is an environment of strong financial control and balance sheet integrity.
• Provide annual budgeting and cash flow projections.
• Manage external relationships with banks, audit / accounting firms and tax professionals.
• Develop and optimise accounting, process and controls and lead on IT & systems across the organisation.
• Manage the finance team.
• Lead on M&A / transactions.

The Person;

• Proven CFO with a background in Property and Construction preferred.
• Qualified Accountant, with sound technical skills.
• Highly motivated individual with an energetic, hands-on approach to business.
• Comfortable working in the detail.
• Strong team player, with good emotional intelligence.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and interact both at the board level and with the wider company.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
