Group Finance Manager

Our client, a highly successful multi-site retailer based in Kent, is looking to recruit a Group Finance Manager. Managing a team of 8 and acting as a key member of the management team, this role will take responsibility for the day to day running of the finance function, ensuring the smooth running of the department and the provision of timely and accurate reporting. Specific areas of focus will include the following:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Overseeing month end and year end close
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Cash flow management and forecasting
• Provision of MI and analysis for the business to make appropriate commercial decisions
• Ensuring adequate processes and controls are in place and making improvements where appropriate
• Overseeing the payroll and ledgers
• Mentor and develop staff

The ideal candidate will possess strong staff management experience and recent experience operating within an SME in a varied, hands on role. Previous retail experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Candidates will be formally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience and possess strong communication skills and the ability to influence others.
