Partner Financial is working with a highly successful PE backed consumer business based in Central London. The business has grown significantly over recent years and has developed a global footprint in the market due to their customer focus and strong product offering.

Following the businesses continued success, they have created this position to enhance the finance function. This is a business critical role reporting to the Group Financial Controller, requiring the successful individual to deliver operational excellence across finance. The breadth of this role is broad and is therefore expected to provide substantial scope for development and increased responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing the controls framework and building a ‘best in class’ group function
  • Leading the end to end production of the financial reporting and close process across the group
  • Implementing and maintaining a financial consolidation and reporting tool to replace Excel
  • Responsible for the results process including annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS
  • Providing technical accounting guidance to the finance department and maintaining an accounting policy manual for the group
  • Overseeing the preparation of the financial consolidation of the group on a monthly basis
  • Developing standardised controls, including electronic audit files and reconciliations
  • Performing local and internal audits to ensure financial processes and controls have been implemented correctly
  • Responsible for managing the relationship with the auditors and the external suppliers
  • Leading and managing the group accounting function

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA) with experience within a listed reporting environment
  • Experience managing a team, whilst maintaining a control framework in a Group Finance Function
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines with excellent planning and organisational skills Proven track record of building and maintaining key internal and external stakeholder relationships
