Our client an International Business, based in Send, Woking are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant with Payroll. The role is 90% Accounting and 10% Payroll .

 

Description

As an Assistant Accountant with Payroll based from the Send, Woking office you will be responsible for:

 

Accounting 90%

 

  • Accruals
  • Prepayments
  • Maintain Fixed asset register
  • Process intercompany recharges UK/USA/Jersey/Aus/NZ
  • Reconcile nominal control accounts
  • Assist with VAT, EC Sales return, US tax reports as required
  • Process supplier invoices
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Process electronic payments to suppliers
  • Process employee expense claims, check VAT calculations
  • Reconcile supplier ledgers /creditors age analysis
  • Update cashbooks from bank statements
  • Process receipts/payments from cashbooks
  • Process sales deferrals

 

Payroll 10%

 

  • Payroll for 50 UK Employees

 

  • Staff maintenance including leavers, joiners, tax code changes, SMP, SPP, student loans, SMP, SPP
  • Correspond with HMRC re P45, P11 coding notices
  • Calculate overtime, commissions
  • Run the monthly payroll
  • Generate bacs payments for salaries, expense refunds etc
  • Prepare payroll journals and post to accounting system
  • Manage monthly PAYE, NI, levy reconciliations and returns to Revenue, and submit timely payments for same
  • Payroll Year End on Sage and for HMRC and internal reports

 

  • Track and process employee personal and credit card expenses
  • Reconcile and upload monthly pension contributions

 

 

 

 

Profile

 

  • Ideally looking for a minimum of 2 to 3 years accounting experience
  • Experience covering the above responsibilities as closely as possible
  • Some Payroll experience is required but doesnt need to be extensive
  • Ideally ACCA/CIMA studier but not essential

 

  • Flexible and adaptive approach
  • Ability to prioritize a number of assigned tasks
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Methodical and accurate in work
  • Good levels of accurate for reporting is essential

 

 

Job Offer

 

Our client is ideally looking to pay £25,000 - £30,000. Free Parking onsite, Pension, 21 days holiday rising 1 day each year
