Finance Assistant
Shrewsbury
£16-£18,000 (FTC up until March 2018 – Full or Part Time)
The Business
Seymour John are recruiting on an exclusive basis for our client based in Shrewsbury, working as part of a supportive and friendly Finance Team. Our client can offer flexible working for this particular position, and therefore both part time and full-time applications will be considered.
The Opportunity
You will be responsible for managing the accounts payable ledger and employee expenses for the entire organisation. You will be an integral part of this friendly Finance Team, closely supporting the Finance Officers to ensure accurate reporting for the departmental expenditure and roll out of the purchase approval system. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of technical ability and be responsible for the following duties:
- Processing and coding of supplier invoices to correct cost centres (approximately 500 per month)
- Generating BACs export files for authorisation
- Processing of employee expense claims
- Assist with roll out of purchase approval system
- Assisting with other tasks within the finance department where necessary
Personal Profile
This opportunity would suit a candidate who is perhaps at the start of their career within Finance who is highly organised with exceptional systems skills. You will have a real desire to gain practical accounts experience and be able offer commitment to the full duration of the contract. In return for your commitment, you will gain some valuable experience working as part of a busy Finance Team. You must be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to you work, with the ability to work under pressure coupled with excellent attention to detail.
