We are seeking a qualified, commercially focused Senior Finance Analyst to join our retail finance team in our EMEA Head Office on a permanent basis.

Looking primarily after Fashion and Home categories, the Senior Finance Analyst will have ownership of ongoing financial and planning processes, with emphasis on proactive business partnership with the Commercial team to provide financial insights that lead to tangible actions and drive the business forward to meet strategy goals.

The Department
The retail business at Disney is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that works directly with our retail partners across the country, from high street superstores to online retailers, as well as our own portfolio of magical Disney Stores across the country. The team covers sales, logistics, merchandising and marketing across a range of exciting family-focused products from the Walt Disney portfolio, from DVDs to toys, food and apparel.

The Role
Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting ongoing financial processes for Fashion and Home in Disney Consumer Products, including quarterly forecast and accrual, strategic plan and annual budget. Maintaining Excel-based Forecast and Accrual reporting tools.
  • Responsiblity for operational finance and system (Invision, Cognos) deliverables during quarterly close and forecast planning cycles.
  • Partnering with key stakeholders, including Category Directors and Commercial managers to analyse and identify historical business trends, white space opportunities and other areas to capture incremental revenue. Benchmarking UK Disney Consumer Products performance relative to other EMEA markets and external UK competitors.
  • Developing tools for the Fashion and Home business using external market data and EPOS/Sell Through capabilities to improve the forecasting process and deliver tangible actions
  • Providing financial support to commercial team on new contracts and joint business planning.
  • Monitoring OPEX spend vs. forecast and budget.
  • Aiding the Finance Manager with forecasting and managing Marketing spend
  • Liaising with Contract Management Centre & Revenue accounting to drive timely processing of contracts, royalties and payment of invoices.


About You
Suitable candidates will possess the following skills and experience:

  • University degree
  • ­At least 2 years post qualified (ACA/CIMA Qualified or equivalent qualification)
  • Forecast & Planning experience
  • Financial modelling, analysis and insight experience
  • Ideally experience working in commercial finance role in a retail business, preferably Fashion but not mandatory
  • Ideally experienced with working in Licensing but not mandatory
