An opportunity presents for a Reporting Analyst to step into the Management Information Systems team in an industry leading fashion organisation. Situated in the Group Finance department, we are looking for an Excel superstar to join this specialist team who is confident in developing and using complex databases and who has an interest in finance and business analysis.

Possessing strong numerical and analytical skills, you will be responsible for sourcing timely, reliable and accurate data and management information. This is predominantly to the finance community through a flexible and responsive combination of databases and spreadsheets.

Role responsibilities

  • To understand, develop and maintain complex databases and programmes
  • Provide weekly and monthly management information timely and accurately
  • Develop innovative and efficient ways of automating and checking data production
  • Ensuring data integrity
  • Generation of new reports, models and systems
  • Ability to complete ad-hoc business requests from source to reports
  • Provide support to the wider finance community, through flexible and timely production of data and reports, as well as assisting with technical expertise
  • Communicate with senior stakeholders across the business up to Financial Directors
  • Management of a M Analyst to ensure they are fully developed, motivated and stretched in their role

Required experience & skill set

  • Advanced Excel and Access with VBA are essential along with similar development experience.
  • Clear communication and reporting skills
  • Sequel Server and the competence with very large data sets are essential.
  • Confidence, credibility and ability to deal with a wide range of stakeholders including Senior Management
  • Ability to take a proactive approach.
  • Team player - ability to network effectively across the immediate and wider Finance Team
  • Retail or very similar background preferred.
  • Management experience advantageous but not essential
