A rare opportunity to join one of the biggest consumer, house-hold name success stories of the last decade in Hertfordshire as Head of Commercial Finance of newly formed business.

This is a high profile finance role in the rapidly developing start-up business. The role will involve working closely with the CEO as part of his leadership team and acting as financial support. The role is to provide financial advice to team and will encompass the development of business plans, preparation of new business proposals, budgets, forecasts and reporting of actual performance.

Key Accountabilities:
-Supporting growth of a newly developed a platform in the UK. A relatively new team with the responsibility for selling and operating this platform for customers inside and outside the UK
-Providing financial advice, support and challenge to the Team by building effective working relationships at all levels, including Senior Managers within Solutions Business and other departments in the business.
-Financial support for the bidding to implementation process - review contract terms to determine the revenue and costs recognition are sound; undertake client profitability reviews when required; ensure client support via any due diligence process
-Lead the finance reviews with clients
-Work closely with the team to provide insight and financial advice into management discussions
-Establish the accounting process, and performance reporting for this business area
-Lead the Annual Budget and Quarterly Forecast process for the business. Reviewing resourcing proposals from other business areas and provide healthy challenge; understand key drivers for revenue and costs; ensure matrix management is working as effectively and efficiently as possible
-Continually identify and implement improvements to business processes to increase efficiency and ensure all costs are recorded accurately in the accounts. Challenge and review results to seek opportunities to increase income/reduce costs and risks
-Develop models to explain the cash flow impact of the rollout of the business
-Work closely with Head of Group Finance to ensure the fiscal and tax implications of international expansion are fully understood

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
We are seeking a high-calibre and progressive individual who is a Qualified CIMA / ACA/ ACCA accountant with minimum of +5 PQE experience gained in a Senior Commercial of Head of role in a Consumer focussed and / or Tech industry.

Other Key experience:
A strong academic record from leading University is highly desirable
Experience of reporting period management accountant, analysis and commentary
Experience of budgeting and forecast
Experience of strong business partnering and working in a matrix structure
Advanced Excel and modelling skills are a must
Not essential but a real advantage is previous experience of working on bids and tenders
