Assistant Finance Manager

Gleeson Recruitment Group have been selected to work with a unique, growing business, based on the outskirts of Oxford, who are aiming to double their staff numbers within the next year. With this in mind, they are seeking an Assistant Finance Manager who is planning to continue their finance career, and are likely to be studying for CIMA or ACCA, and looking to continue their studies within their next role.

Our client can offer a flexible and supportive culture, along with full study support, and you will be working within a small, but experienced finance team of 4, and you will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager.

As an Assistant Finance Manager within this growing business, your main duties and responsibilities will involve all aspects of the accounting function of the business, and you need to offer a confident, personable approach, with the desire to learn, combined with a friendly personality.

Your duties as an Assistant Finance Manager role will include:

* Assisting the Finance Manager with all duties of accounts and involvement in month-end processes

* Full responsibility for processing all invoices

* Bank Reconciliations

* Supplier account reconciliation and payments

* Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts

* Working closely with Finance Manager to write business proposals and planning for the future

* Working closely with the other finance team members on various projects

Skills/experience required as an Assistant Finance Manager:

* Actively studying ACCA or CIMA, combined with previous experience within a similar accounting role

* Ability to work to tight deadlines, and with minimal supervision

* Intermediate Excel skills - Pivot Tables and V Look-ups

* Offer the ability to bring new ideas to the team, and to work on new processes as and when required

* Organised and methodical approach with an attention to detail

* Ability to manage your own time and workload
